Emergency Care Information

To remain as safe as possible during the pandemic, we are allowing one person per household to enter the hospital with their pet. We will use a touchless thermometer to take everyone’s temperature before they enter the hospital. Masks must be worn properly, covering the mouth and nose, and must be worn at all times, even if you are alone in a room. To maintain social distancing, we are not allowing owners to assist medical staff with handling their pets. Owners will stay on one side of the exam room while the medical staff stay on the other.

If anyone in your household has any symptoms of COVID-19 or has tested positive within the past 14 days, we request that no one from your household come to the hospital. If your pet's medical need is too critical to be rescheduled, please send someone from outside of your household to bring your pet to the hospital.

We are also increasing the frequency that we disinfect all areas of the hospital, and are being more stringent about checking staff for symptoms before they enter the hospital each day.

Here's what you can expect:

  • When you arrive in our parking lot, please call us from your car (603-448-4448) or you can text us if all our phone lines are busy (603-359-3410).
  • When we're ready to start your pet's treatment or exam, we'll ask you to have no more than one person from your household bring your pet to our front door, where we’ll take that person’s temperature using a touchless thermometer. People whose temperature is below 100.4F will be permitted to enter the hospital.
  • Every person that enters the hospital must wear a mask at all times while in the hospital, covering their mouth and nose. Even if you are alone in any room in the hospital, you must wear your mask over your mouth and nose at all times.
  • The precautions necessary to maintain safety during the coronavirus pandemic makes everything take longer than anticipated - please expect that your appointment may take longer than normal, and please be patient while we do our best to help everyone. However, if you have been waiting for more than 10 minutes without hearing from us, please call or text us again.
  • Remember you can also get Purina products delivered right to your house - if your pet eats Purina food or FortiFlora or Calming Care, please use the VetDirect service to have it delivered straight to your house (stoneybrookvets.com/pharmacy/lebanon-vetdirect-program.php). We even have some promo codes to save you money!
  • We are still providing telemedicine appointments for our clients that have a sick pet, but who may be sick themselves or too concerned to come to the hospital. These phone-consult appointments are only available for pets that have been seen by a doctor at our practice in the last 365 days. The cost is the same as an exam, and a payment will be made over the phone when the appointment concludes.

If you have questions or concerns, please call us at (603) 448-4448 or email us at info@stoneybrookvets.com.

Stay safe and healthy!
