Stoney Brook Veterinary Hospital Staff

Kelsie Atwater first came to Stoney Brook after graduating from Colgate University in May of 2018. She graduated on a pre-veterinary track and is looking to go to veterinary school.

Kelsie left after a year to pursue other animal experiences at a zoo and a wildlife rehabilitation center, but returned to Stoney Brook when she moved back to the area in November of 2019. She loves constantly learning new skills and spending her day with the most wonderful and knowledgeable coworkers while providing the highest level of care for patients and their owners.

While she doesn't currently have any furry friends of her own since her 15 year old chocolate lab passed, Kelsie does enjoy dog siting for family members. Her other passions include anything outdoors, especially hiking and cross country skiing, traveling with her fiance, and volunteering at a local dog rescue.

Mike Barskey joined the Stoney Brook team in June, 2019 after 5 years at SAVES, the emergency veterinary hospital in the Upper Valley. His focus is taking care of people while their beloved pets are being cared for by the medical staff. He started as a receptionist in the veterinary field when presented with the idea that 5-star hospitality could, and should, be provided for veterinary services - wouldn't it be great to enjoy visiting the doctor?!

"I like how well everyone at Stoney Brook works together for the common goal of keeping pets healthy and their owners happy. Skill level is high, communication is great, and everyone likes working here and with each other."

Mike has had dogs since he was a young child, but loves all animals. He moved to New Hampshire in 2008 and spends some of his free time playing tabletop and role-playing games with friends and hiking with his family, which consists of his partner, Brigitte, and their three cats and two dogs.
