Pet Adoptions

Pet Adoptions

Stoney Brook Veterinary Hospital does not offer pet adoptions. However, we do encourage potential pet owners in the Upper Valley to consider adopting a pet from a local humane society or shelter when looking to welcome a new animal companion into their home. These groups shelter and foster many loving pets who are looking for a forever home. Before adopting a new pet, the staff at Stoney Brook Veterinary Hospital can provide you with advice and pre-adoption counseling to help ensure you find the right pet for your home.

We work closely with the following local humane societies and pet rescue organizations. Please click on the links below to learn more about each group. If you adopt a pet from any official rescue organization, your first exam is free.

Upper Valley Humane Society - The UVHS promotes the human/animal bond and helps pets in the Upper Valley area of New Hampshire and Vermont.

Angels Among Us Pet Hostel - Angels Among Us provides a temporary home for pets whose owners are hospitalized or living in a domestic abuse shelter. There are many cases in which these beloved pets need permanent homes.

Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society - Dedicated to providing shelter and humane care for unwanted dogs and cats in West Windsor, Vermont and the surrounding area.

Concord-Merrimack County SPCA - Animal outreach and education for pets and people in Concord and Merrimack County.
