Community Outreach

Community Outreach

At Stoney Brook Veterinary Hospital, we strive to be an integral part of the Upper Valley community of Vermont and New Hampshire. Our staff members are heavily involved with local humane societies, pet rescue, and adoption groups. We care about all pets in our area, and Stoney Brook Veterinary Hospital is proud to provide care for pets in the NH towns of Lebanon, Hanover, Enfield and Lyme, and the VT towns of Norwich, Wilder and White River Junction.

Upper Valley Humane Society

Hospital owner Dr. Kim Jones serves as the medical consultant for the Upper Valley Humane Society. She also volunteers as a medical consultant for the Angels Among Us pet hostel. Angels Among Us provides temporary housing and care for pets while their owners are hospitalized or in a domestic abuse shelter.

Morris Animal Foundation

Stoney Brook Veterinary Hospital is a sponsor of the annual Dog Run Dog, a 5K/10K run or walk for people and their dogs in Norwich, Vermont. Proceeds from Dog Run Dog go to the Morris Animal Foundation, a national research organization for companion animals, as well as local charity organizations. Dr. Jones also acts as the veterinarian for the event. We participate in Bark in the Park, a fun day for dogs. Proceeds from Bark in the Park go to the Green Mountain Animal Rescue.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are proud to offer volunteer opportunities for interested community members. All volunteers are screened through an application and interview process. Stoney Brook Veterinary Hospital also offers externship opportunities for veterinary students. Please contact the hospital for more details.

Rabies Clinics

Every year, Dr. Jones also holds spring rabies clinics. These clinics are a great opportunity for pet owners to learn about Lyme disease, heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We believe that community outreach and education are a vital part to keeping the pets and people in our community healthy.
